Fall is here, ready or not!

It’s time for blankets, fireplaces, apples, pumpkins, spices, comfort and oodles of fun.

Today I am sharing a few of my favorite tonics with you that are excellent for keeping the immune system strong during this tough season. Citrus and carrots are also excellent for the skin, bones and over all staying healthy. These tonics have many spices in them all focusing on warmth and keeping the body clean.

Not Your Typical Carrot Orange Juice Tonic

1 Tangelo or Navel Orange

2 lemons with rind if organic

1 Small Carrot

Slice of your favorite hot pepper (or may be a dash of cayenne)

According to your taste buds; fresh vanilla, fresh ginger, fresh turmeric, fresh cinnamon, ground cardamom & Earth Powder (anything in powder form should be mixed into the fresh juice and not put into your juicer)

Stir/mix and enjoy! Feel free to add a tablespoon or two of hot water if you need itCARROTS

Lemon Curry Tonic

4 juiced lemons, without rind

2 juiced lime, without rind

According to taste; lemon zest, freshly grated cinnamon, freshly grated ginger & turmeric, coconut vinegar, curry, black pepper, cardamom and at least a liter of water.

Stir/mix and enjoy :D! Please feel free to add a little of your favorite sweetener if you NEED it, the citrus juice should take care of this so please try it without it first.

These tonics work best in the morning but can and should also be consumed throughout the day when needed. Please feel free to modify ingredients, spices and so forth with what your person needs are. These are also wonderful bases for a dressing or sauce where you can add more vegetables or fruits if you would like.

I hope these concoctions have inspired some of you to make your own warming, delicious and detoxing tonics!

If there is a spice, herb, vegetable, fruit or whatever that you would be interested in seeing my spin on please feel free to send me an email at livinggirllivingfoods@gmail.com. Next week I hope to have a juice and soup recipe to share :D! YUM! Wishing you all a magical week. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my site. Much love ❤ and raw power 😉
