I made this sweet cooling concoction for myself today after yoga, running and working out. I was pleased with the mix of flavors, how simple it was, and that it even kind-a-sorta looked like an alcoholic beverage.

Honeydrew “Margarita” Smoothie Recipe

2 cups chopped honeydew melon, rind and seeds have been removed

1/2 cup iced green tea (I made this fresh myself and let it chill)

1 teaspoon matcha green powder (optional but highly alkalizing and delicious!)

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

A pinch of vanilla powder or just a little scraping from a fresh vanilla bean

1/2 cup ice cubes

Blend until it is at your preferred texture and enjoy <3!

Optional idea 🙂 add a tablespoon of fresh aloe, extra hydrating and a great beauty ingredient

In previous posts I have gone over the benefits of melons, in this article I focus on Honeydew melon. A few days ago on my Facebook Page I shared an article by Honey Colony about the high levels of pesticides in Celestial Teas, please do research on the companies you typically buy tea from. Tea is an herb, it is just like any food meaning not every company makes the same quality tea. There can be GMO tea companies or organic tea companies.

I served this in a beautiful glass outside on my deck this evening and it made me full rather quickly. This made somewhere around 2 1/2 cups of liquid, for me personally this is one serving.

I’ve mentioned this before in posts, to create a cocktail or any alcoholic-like drink I recommend using a lot of citrus like lemon or lime. Green tea also creates a bit of that fermented drink taste. I know there are lots of people who usually add kombucha to create this taste and feel too. Apple cider vinegar or coconut vinegar can do the trick also but this is much more difficult to balance.

Wishing you all much health and delicious drinks to share with friends! Thank you all for stopping by my site and reading this post. Much love ❤ and raw power 😉
