Chiffonade Spinach Salad With Spiralized Carrots In A Cilantro Tomato Sauce, In Five Minutes Or Less <3

Oh gosh, the title of this recipe even shouts delicious to me! I love saying the words cilantro and chiffonade too 😀 As a good friend of mine pointed out, chiffonade has a lovely dancing sound quality to it.
Chiffonade means “little rag” in French because of the fabric-like strips this cutting technique causes. I love how my friend thought of dancing because with your knife you will make a slight rocking dance-like motion.
Chiffonade greens create a wonderful texture, a little excitement for both your eyes and teeth, and at times it can help make a salad look bigger.
In the past I have shared a video where I chiffonade kale and spinach to aid in digestion, since the fibers in kale can be difficult to break down in raw form.
All you need for this recipe is of course the ingredients 😉 plus a knife and blender.

Chiffonade Spinach Salad With Spiralized Carrots In A Cilantro Tomato Sauce
Serves One Person
Salad:
I chiffonade about 4 full handfuls of spinach
6 cherry tomatoes, sliced in half for some extra texture and pop
1 carrot, peeled, a little thicker so the spiral slicer could cut it, spiralized or just use a knife and make matchsticks and mixed with the spinach and sliced tomatoes
Sauce:
1 cup cherry tomatoes
3-5 tablespoons cilantro depending on how much you like this herb
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons flax oil, or your preferred oil
I have my own mix of spices that I like to use that consists of: cumin, cayenne, cinnamon, oregano, thyme, sage and rosemary. I added a few dashes of this!
Blend until smooth, pour over your salad and mix it up!
The cinnamon may sound a little crazy but it’s sweetness and warmth actually ties in beautifully with the more traditional dried Italian herbs.
❤
If you would like you can add more spiralized vegetables, julienned peppers, or even blend a little hot pepper in your sauce 🙂
I like how simple this recipe is yet it manages to pack loads of different flavors, smells and textures.
Salads never have to be boring!
❤
I hope this inspires those out there looking for more quick, delicious and flavor packed recipes. I am off to make my dinner now 😀 Thank you all for taking the time to stop by my site. Much love ❤ and raw power 😉

Sounds great I’m in. Can you tell me the recipe for your spice mixture. Unless it’s a old family secret.
Still miss our morning coffees, even if I’ve quit drinkin the stuff, again, lol
I’m sorry Brian I honestly do no know what measurements of anything I put in there! Every so many months I end up creating a different one. I’ll have to measure things out next time so I have a complete recipe to share. I miss you and our mornings! Hope all is excellent and business has been well. Big hug 🙂
