I have another basil goodie to share 🙂 I will try to post one or two more basil recipes this week since many people seemed interested in exploring ways of adding this amazing herb to their living foods. I recently wrote a post about the health benefits of basil, medicinal uses and tried my best to describe the flavor.

I’ve already gone over other herbs like cilantro and parsley. But if there is an item you are interested in seeing what concoctions I may come up with I always appreciate suggestions and inspiration ❤ You all always give me great ideas for posts and loads of support.

Here is the breakfast smoothie I made for myself today. I love how smoothies can end up tasting like dessert, I end up consuming them so slowly and sometimes I get worried that I might be making noises because it’s so delicious :-X!

SUPER Mixed Berry Basil Smoothie Recipe

Makes 1 1/2 cups

MixedBerryBasilSmoothie

1 cup frozen mixed berries (I used blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and strawberries)

1 basil leaf, ripped apart or chopped if ripping stuff isn’t fun enough haha

2 tablespoons goji berries (optional)

1 teaspoon acai powder (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla powder or half of a fresh vanilla bean

1 tablespoon lime juice

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 cup green tea or whatever tea, coconut water, or water you fancy

If you would like a fat in this smoothie I recommend a teaspoon of coconut oil

Blend until smooth & enjoy!

The acai powder and goji berries make this a “super” berry drink, with a super high quantity of antioxidants 🙂

I have been craving watermelons and cantaloupe lately, they taste AMAZING with basil! But I need to have some patience it is not time for melons just yet.

Another wonderful way of getting some of the benefits of basil is by using them in a steeper. I tend to make more steepers during the summer time, but I’ve been already craving them so I hope to share some recipes soon. Steepers are a great way of drinking more water if you find yourself or your loved ones struggling to drink enough. Or may be they “don’t like water.”

It looks like my achieves are being hit today hard so I’ll keep this post sweet and short. Thank you all for taking the time to stop by my site and read my jibber jabber. Much love ❤ and raw power 😉
