This cute restaurant was a quick walk for my friend and I from the train station and I was in love with the set up inside. The walls are white, there is a large wooden family sized table to the left where you can sit with strangers or one massive group can actually all sit together for once.

The tables had single flowers as a decoration and for whatever reason I felt comfortable almost instantly. This tiny restaurant packs a lot of love and a large selection of foods to please any chatter your tummy is barking at you.

There are vegan, live vegan, gluten-free and macrobiotic options. The food here is organic but please do not come here if you are on a tight schedule. My friends and I were waiting far too long for our food. I even noticed that people who ordered before us were already getting their dishes, so possibly there was something up with the meals we ordered ingredients wise.

I ordered the Granola Delight ($10.50! eeks :-X) with Coconut kefir & Sun In Bloom’s homemade, sprouted buckwheat granola with fresh fruit (which that day it was bananas & a sprinkle of blueberries).

The granola tasted just like Go Raw’s Apple Cinnamon mix, consisting of dried apple, cinnamon, and flax seeds just to list a few ingredients. Just in case you are curious Go Raw’s Apple Cinnamon mix is one of my favorites 😀 I wasn’t too pleased with the little amount of fruit but the coconut kefir was delicious.

Coconut Kefir is a cultured product containing different types of beneficial bacteria. Kefir goes above and beyond by helping to “colonize” or populate your intestinal system. Kefir also contains several major probiotic strains not found in yogurt and it has beneficial yeasts (yes, there are actually “good” yeasts) that help to balance your intestinal flora. Coconut Kefir tastes tangy, tart and when tried along it is not sweet.

I also ordered a Zen Citrus Juice (on their site it lists the juice at $8.50 but I ordered a small and I thought it was around $4) and was disappointed with how small the size was for the price. The flavors were amazing though!

Grapefruit, Orange, Lemon, Cucumber & Ginger ❤ I ordered this with a friend who was just starting to get cold-like symptoms and this sounded like the perfect blend of produce to kick it in the bum.

I love how even the juices are in little mason jars. It keeps adding to that home, fresh, comfortable vibe. Kitchen towel napkins, wooden tables, brick walls, and all ❤ For more photos of Sun In Bloom check out their FaceBook Page.

If you would like to take a group of friends to Sun In Bloom I recommend calling a head of time and seeing if it is possible to make a reservation (718) 622-4303. Sun In Bloom is located at 460 Bergen Street Brooklyn, New York. There is limited street parking so please plan accordingly.

The menu includes; Breakfast (All Day!), Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, Dessert, Juices, Smoothies and Coffee is served 😀 The hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8:30am-9:00pm and Saturday & Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm. The meals range in price from roughly $10 to $30 I believe.

Also, if you are a Yelper make sure to take a peak at their check-in 😉 hint hint 😉 Only one check-in can be used in your group to receive the “reward.” On Yelp! is my shortened review if you just want the bones!
