I’ve made several variations of this soup in the past based on videos I have seen of Angela making the soup herself. This is the first time I’ve made it following an actual recipe with measurements. This delicious creamy savory soup mostly tastes like cilantro and your choice of greens. Today I used a mix of greens that looked like they were going to go bad soon. In my energy soup I had; spinach, arugula, red leaf lettuce, mizuna and green leaf lettuce.

I added black pepper and cayenne pepper to the soup to add an extra kick, these ingredients have both been described as “Thermo boosts” in Ani’s recipes. They help fire up your system to breakdown and add i. Proper digestion.

Angela usually adds coconut chips or mung beans to this soup according to Ani Phyo’s 15-Day Fat Blast. I added some alfalfa sprouts to my soup, it gives the soup a little change of texture and crunch.

This soup is powerfully energizing and alkalizing. Raw power right here! ❤

I’ve seen this recipe posted on several sites over the years but in case anyone reading hasn’t tried this amazing energy soup below is the recipe.

Angela’s Energy Soup

1/2 cucumber, chopped
1/2 red or yellow pepper, chopped (I typically use yellow pepper for this soup I think it looks nicer but I had a red pepper in the fridge)
1 generous handful of leafy greens: spinach, kale, lettuce, etc. (I love that there are so many options with this, makes energy soup easily a regular meal for me)
1 little bunch coriander (cilantro)
1 garlic clove
Juice of half a lemon
1 little handful dulse
Either 3 tablespoons tahini or the flesh of a small avocado (I used the avo option)
Filtered water-maybe 3 cups-so that it reaches about half way up the blender, once all the veggies are inside (this was about a cup and a half of water for me, it also really depends on your blender so try just a cup at first and taste it)

Blend to your preference and enjoy!

I have packed this soup for the beach before and impressed myself with how much energy Angela’s soup provided me. Many of this ingredients have slight cleansing benefits like cucumber, cilantro and lemon. The dulse, greens and tahini/avocado have lots of protein too! Mixing all of these ingredients helped me get full fast, I really took my time having the soup. It’s loaded with protein, natural cleansing benefits, items that feed your skin, brain and healthy fats.

I hope you all have the chance to try out this powerful soup! Thank you for reading and have a delicious day ❤
