Day 6, Day 3 of Phase 2 (2nd to last day) Ani Phyo’s 15-Day Fat Blast
6April 30, 2012 by Living Girl Living Foods
Well today was an interesting mix of foods. I was surprised to see I would have a chocolate banana shake for breakfast, called a Chocolate Banana Mylk Shake. There are no nuts in this one, the ingredients that make a milk-like substance are flax & water. I had a ton of energy after drinking this and I am extremely thankfully for that because I had a huge workout before hand.
I added every boost imaginable to this one, both the “Thermo Charger” and “Super Power Pack.” I froze my banana for this shake plus added 3 ice cubes to help thicken it up and make me feel fuller. I really enjoyed this shake and found it to be a special treat. Not too many people are told to consume chocolate while cleansing, dieting and/or trying to loss weight. However, raw cacao contains magnesium, iron, antioxidants and fiber.
For a snack I had a Pineapple Coconut Salad. I did not have any fresh pineapple around so I used some frozen pineapple and sprinkled it with shredded coconut and minced ginger.
Delicious! I’ve blended all of these up before to make my own sorbet so this tasty salad reminded me of dessert. This treat was sweet, fruity and warming. A great way to feel mentally satisfied and surprisingly full off of something so wonderfully simple.
Lunch was a Asian Cabbage Salad with Apple Cider Vinaigrette, this was also simple and tasty. It was loaded with herbs that gave me the feeling that I was eating more than I actually was because of all of the different flavors. I added the ” ‘Bot Boost” on top of the salad and dressing. I made the salad, then tossed it with the dressing in a bowl.
Afterwards, I placed my food on a cute plate I bought a while back at an Oriental Antique shop. I decided to eat this with chopsticks, to help me eat slowly and actually chomp down and appreciate every piece.
Two big thumbs up for this salad and Ani! I would never have made something like this on my own and am truly inspired. Thank you 😀
I really haven’t had much luck enjoying these dinner soups. Today’s was one of my least favorites and it made very little soup, not even 8 oz. So I had to have a handful of almonds as a snack afterwards even though I didn’t feel like having them but there wasn’t enough time to make more soup or another soup. My dinner was Coconut Tomato Soup most of the soups have asked for water yet this one didn’t.
I added 1/2 cup of filtered water because I was desperate to have more soup. The texture, flavor, everything about this soup was too plain. I kept checking the recipe over and over again, it felt incomplete. I added the “Fat Melter” and that still didn’t help much.
Check-In:
Tomorrow I am supposed to do a weigh in and I feel like I have at least gained 2 pounds. I haven’t been able to go to the bathroom for the past two days so tomorrow I’ll probably have to make some Senna tea to give myself some relief. My energy all day long has been great except when I had that soup I felt defeated. I haven’t seen my skin break out on my chin this badly ever.
I am doubting myself and this fat blast today. However, I am excited to try the breakfast shake planned for tomorrow, a Matcha Shake. The soup doesn’t sound like something I will enjoy I’m trying to stay hopeful though!!! I really am.
Please check in with me here tomorrow and see how I am doing. If anyone has any questions please let me know 😀 Thank you for stopping by and taking the time out of your schedule to read my blog.
xoxo

I am very interested in finding out how your weigh in went today. I did the first 7 days and went back to the beginning and started over. She mentions in the book that if you have more than 10 pounds to lose (I do) you should do this. I have only lost 2 to 3 pounds and have been on this for 9 days. To say I am a little frustrated would be an understatement! I also do not have energy like I thought I would. Pretty tired. Not really sure if I should keep it up. Looking forward to hearing how it is working for you!
I forgot to mention that I too had to drink Senna tea for the same reason. I truly don’t understand how that can be when we are eating all pureed fruits and veggies. Strange.
Hi Kelly, I was hoping to hear from you again about how the Fat Blast is going for you. Have you decided to stick with it? I’ve posted some articles on energy, reversing energy and how to get more. I was wondering if you found any of it helpful or if anything in particular spoke to you. Good luck and hope you are well ❤
You know, after 11 days I just didn’t feel good about being on only shakes and soups. I didn’t really see any difference in my skin, mood, sleeping etc.. and even if I was detoxing I wasn’t confident that the toxins were leaving my body since I wasn’t eliminating. So for the last two days I have done the shake in the morning and some healthy raw lunch and something healthy but not necessarily raw (because I am weak:) for supper. Just to feel like I wasn’t messing up my digestive system. The first salad I had (day 8’s lunch) was SO delicious but left me feeling bloated and my stomach noticeably bigger. I guess this makes sense since there has been almost nothing in my colon for many days! I have already gained 3 lbs back. In the future I am going to add in exercising and keep having either one of Ani’s shakes or a green juice for breakfast and salad for lunch and something healthy for supper. I think I will be happiest with that plan. What I really need to learn is how to boost my metabolism which stinks now that I am 40!! Good luck on your Fat Blast. I hope you are able to achieve what you need to.
[…] Tomato Soup that I seem to be having difficulties enjoying and making a sufficient amount, here is my previous post on this soup for more details. The soup lacks texture, sweetness and overall […]
I can’t help but wonder if the lack of water for the coconut soup was a typo. I’ve noticed a couple of other omissions in the book, like matcha powder in the ginger mango shake that morning, even though all the other morning shakes feature matcha. Maybe the editing was slacking on this day.
