Day 9, Juice/Smoothie Cleanse

Today I consumed:

48 oz Hot Water with Lemon

Brunch–>Around 28-32 oz Green Lemonade Remix. It’s sweet, savory and comforting like lemonade! Your teeth may feel a little fuzzy afterwards, it’s completely normal though. It’s just from the combination of whole lemon and greens.

Green Lemonade Remix IngredientsGreen Lemonade Remix

Recipe:

1 Head Romaine

8 Stems of Kale

1 medium cucumber (skin and all)

1 whole lemon

1 Fuji Apple (or your preferred apple)

1-inch ginger

Blended with 3 frozen pieces of pineapple (optional, I like the sweetness!)

Sweet Beet Juice

Jicama Beet Carrot Celery Spinach

I threw this together this morning without much thought and I am in love ❤ ❤ The jicama gives it a nice root vegetable sweetness and everything else goes so lovely with it. I had this around 3pm, when I get out of work and usually have a snack. It really hit the spot 😀

Recipe:

1 medium beet

1 large carrot

1/2 bunch spinach

2 celery stalks

1-inch wide piece of jicama

Mood/Energy Check:

I didn’t sleep well last night, I can’t remember exactly what I was dreaming about but I kept waking up throughout the night. My energy did not feel low because of it and I’m surprisingly very much awake. The Green Lemonade was an amazing breakfast and I think it helped me to not feel tempted to cheat; it already has everything I crave.

The differences I can see/feel in my body:

Except for my hands, my skin feels fantastic; soft, smooth, clear, and healthy. I am surprised I did not go to the bathroom today as much as I thought I would. Typically Green Lemonade really gets my body flushing everything out but I think a good guess would be because I am on day 9 of cleansing. My body may have possibly already cleared out everything it could. I may start looking at cleansing kits soon to get ready to end my juice/smoothie cleanse in a few days then. Something weird I noticed today is that when I speak I frequently feel like I have a ton of saliva in my mouth. My overall mood was calm, even when I was dealing with tings that would normally aggravate me. The chatter that typically goes on in my mind is pretty quiet today too compared to most days. I think this all goes along with what I have mentioned before on how cleansing flushes out both mental and physical ailments.

I’m about to get ready now to do some yoga and arm work at home. I wish it weren’t so dark and cold already I would love to do something outside. It’s a bummer I miss most of the sunlight with my schedule. I’m going to try out some juice recipes from some books tomorrow since I’ve been posting many of my own the past two days.

Have a great night and day everyone! Please let me know if you have any questions for about cleansing, or something you would like me to write about (livinggirllivingfoods@gmail.com, if you don’t want to leave your comment on here). Thank you for being here and reading my journey. It means a lot to me that we can reach out to one another. See you soon 😀

xoxo
